How to Order a Custom-Made Miniature from Me

Thank you for your interest in ordering a custom-made miniature from me. However, I regret to inform you that I am not taking any custom orders at the moment. When I do again, this is how the process will work to make your dream miniature come true:


It usually takes at least 6 weeks to complete a commission, depending on my current workload and the complexity of your request. The cost and duration will also vary depending on what you want me to make.

  1. First, I will give you a rough estimate of the price and time frame for your commission. This is based on the general idea of what you want me to make. If you’re happy with this estimate, we can move on to the next step. If not, no hard feelings. You can always come back later if you change your mind. 

  2. Next, we will discuss the details of your commission. This is the most important step, as it will help me create a miniature that meets all your expectations and preferences. I will ask you to share as much information as possible about what you want me to make - size, shape, era, style, etc. You can also send me photos, drawings, or any other references that will help me understand your vision better. Once I have all the information I need, I will give you the exact price and time frame for your commission. This is the final quote, and it won’t change unless you request any modifications later on. If you agree with this quote, we can proceed to the next step. If not, you can still cancel or change your order at this point. 

  3. Then, I will start working on your commission. I will put all my skills and creativity into making your miniature as perfect as possible. When it’s almost done, I will take a photo and email it to you for your feedback. If you love what you see, great! We can move on to the final step. If not, don’t worry. I want you to be completely satisfied with your commission, so I won’t ask you to buy it if you don’t like it. However, please note that the deposit* is non-refundable in this case (This has never happened and hopefully never will!).

  4. Finally, when you approve your commission, I will send you an invoice with the payment details. You can pay by PayPal or bank transfer. Payment is due within 21 days of receiving the invoice. If you don’t pay within this period, I will cancel your order and delete your invoice.

  5. When I receive your payment, I will pack and ship your commission by Royal Mail Tracked & Signed service to your address. You will receive a tracking number so you can follow your package online.

*Please note that I usually don’t ask for a deposit or payment in advance before I start working on your commission. This is because I trust that you will love what I make for you and that we will communicate clearly throughout the process.

However, there are two exceptions when I do ask for a deposit:

  • The commission takes me more than 7 days to complete

  • The commission is very unusual or personalized, which would make it hard to sell in my shop if you change your mind.

You can cancel your commission at any time before I start working on it. However, once I start working on it, the deposit is non-refundable. I also reserve the right to cancel your order at any time if I feel that I can’t complete it for any reason (This has never happened either but I work better without pressure).
